David Mann
Chairman of the Board

David Mann, Q.C., is Counsel to Cox and Palmer, an Atlantic Canada law firm which he joined as Counsel in January 2005. Mr. Mann was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1982. Mann is a past President and CEO of Emera Inc (EMA-TSX) and its principal subsidiary, Nova Scotia Power Inc. (NSI-TSX), two of Atlantic Canada's leading public companies. He has involvement in several other Corporations and Boards, including Logistec Corporation (LGT-TSX), Acadian Timber Income Fund (AND.VN-TSX) and Allbanc Split Corp II (ALB-TSX). Other Board involvement is with Woodrow Wilson International Centre for Scholars and the Atlantic Salmon Federation. Past affiliations were with various industries and associations, and his corporate and board experiences extensive within those organizations.

Mike Magnus

Gary Mackenzie
Director

Mr. Mackenzie has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University and is a Chartered Accountant. Presently Mr. Mackenzie, is the President of Springwater Inc., a bottler of spring water in Nova Scotia. He is the majority shareholder of Quality Graphics 1992 Inc., a manufacturer of plates for the printing and plastics industries. He is also the Vice President of Glencoe Resources Ltd., a company developing calcium carbonate in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.

Over the years, Mr. MacKenzie has owned and operated several private companies and is currently a Director of two publicly traded companies: Atlantic Industrial Minerals and MWP Capital Corp., the latter of which he is also President. Previously Mr. MacKenzie was a director and officer of Jilbey Gold Exploration Ltd.

Michael Wheatley
Director

Michael Wheatley's career has spanned many years of entrepreneurial successes. In 1976 he founded a chain of electronic stores with locations in the four Atlantic Provinces. He broadened his holdings to include several retail and commercial flooring operations, and owns a Honda dealership in Windsor, Ontario. His capacity for growth and success earned him "Entrepreneur of the Year" Retail Award for Atlantic Canada in 1995.

Mr. Wheatley's community involvement spans fund raising campaigns for IWK Children's' Hospital, the United Way and for St. Mary's University. His speaking skills have him sought out for sales conventions, the Canadian Armed Forces and the public school system.

Mr. Wheatley has been a founder and board member of Shear Wind Inc for the past four years. His knowledge of Atlantic Canada and his business acumen and corporate development skills will be instrumental to Shear Wind's future success.

Murray Smith
Director

Murray Smith resides in Calgary, Alberta and most recently held the position as Alberta Representative to the United States of America, located in Washington D.C. Mr. Smith served 12 years as a Member of the Legislative Assembly in Alberta. He held Cabinet portfolios of Energy, Gaming, Labour, and Economic Development. As Minister of Energy he was responsible for implementing the competitive electrical power market generation model that is used in Alberta today. He serves on the Energy Advisory Board of the Toronto Dominion Bank. Mr. Smith is a graduate of the London Business School Senior Executive Program, and holds a B.A. (Economics & Political Science). He is a past Director of the Calgary Stampede Board. Mr. Smith has worked in the energy sector for the majority of his business career.
